I wrote "Sometimes...You Gotta' Kicka' Cab!" with several ideas in mind. One was to express my philosophy on life and the role that religion plays in our lives. Is the "Mark of the Beast" your social security number? Is Ronald Wilson Reagan, 6 letters in each name, the anti-christ, 666? Will the Islamo-Fascist blow up the world? Time will tell. Another idea expressed, is my desire to see our country develope a high tech bullet train from sea to shining sea. 9/11 should have taught US that need. The bulk of the book, are the stories of people I have met along life's journey. I've been very fortunate to have been raised by loving parents and a father, who took the time to instill his good thoughts upon his only son. I spent many hours traveling the midwest, from a young boy and on into manhood, with a great salesman who taught me his values. I moved to Las Vegas in 1973 at nineteen years old, driving west with a car full of dreams and one friend's house to stay at while getting on my feet. From the day I got to Vegas, I was lucky to meet people who have become life long friends. Some of these people are no longer with us. Some of the people I've met made bad decisions, and their bad thoughts destroyed their lives. Others are today; healthy, happy, and wealthy. Being wealthy, to me, is to be truly happy at whatever level of success you have achieved, if your not happy now, then when? I have been doing standup comedy for thirty plus years and that has given me the chance to meet some of the world's greatest comics. The stories of these encounters and different crazy scenario's I've found myself in, make up this book. Have you ever snuck into the Super Bowl? Have you ever lost two hours of time driving through the desert in the middle of the night? Have you ever found yourself wondering how did I get here? Have you ever lived with people who ended up in jail for murder? I've been told to write a book and here it is. I tried to write my ebook as if talking to you, the reader. Life is a learning experience and I know that school is never out. Get on the bus, you're going for a ride, if you don't understand it, then you're on the short bus! Thank you.
